Impact of Radial Air-Gap Eccentricity on Stator End Winding Vibration Characteristics in DFIG

چکیده
In this paper, qualitative theoretical derivations, finite element analysis (FEA) and experiments are used to investigate the electromagnetic force (EF) vibration characteristics of end windings. contrast previous studies, study focuses not only on winding EF/vibration under normal radial static air gap eccentricity (RSAGE) conditions, but also for cases dynamic (RDAGE) hybrid (RHAGE). Firstly, magnetic flux density (MFD) is derived (RAGE) faults, detailed EF expressions obtained before after RAGE fault. The experimental studies were performed a four-pole DFIG at speed 1500 rpm verify proposed analysis. It shown that RSAGE enlarges EF/end does introduce new frequency components. RDAGE increases introduces RHAGE can be seen as superimposed effect RDAGE.

Induction machines are perhaps the most widely used of all electric motors. They are generally simple to build and rugged, offer reasonable asynchronous performance: a manageable torque-speed curve, stable operation under load, and generally satisfactory efficiency. Because they are so widely used, they are worth understanding. In addition to their current economic importance, induction motors ...

Envelope Analysis on Vibration Signals for Stator Winding Fault Early Detection in 3-Phase Induction Motors
This paper brings up a novel method for detecting induction motor stator winding faults at an early stage. The contribution of the work comes from the delicate handling of motor vibration by applying envelope analysis, which makes it possible to capture electrical short-circuit signature in mechanical signals, even if the magnitude of the fault is fairly incipient. Conventional induction motor ...

متن کاملA Vibration-Based Approach for Stator Winding Fault Diagnosis of Induction Motors: Application of Envelope Analysis
Induction motors are usually considered as one of the key components in various applications. To maintain the availability of induction motors, it calls for a reliable condition monitoring and prognostics strategy. Among the common induction motor faults, stator winding faults are usually diagnosed with current and voltage signals. However, if the same performance can be achieved, the use of vi...
